Have traveled much, worked at many jobs including jobs in Oregon, Montana & Nevada. Did get into computers early enough so that up until the 2000's I found good jobs with my computer skills (most people didn't seem to have those skills until after 2001). Graduated SDSU, 39 years after first starting at SFSU, while working as a Secretary/Data Specialist at MHS, Inc.
In addition to work I've skydived, gone Rocky Mountain hiking while in Montana (also San Gabriel Mtns. hiking, up to the "Bridge to No Where" & bungy jumped off it), parasailed, snorkeled by the arches at Cabo, backpacked at the age of 64 thru Thailand for 2-months, became a Bahai in the '70's, was vegetarian for 7 years, was enchanted by Thai Buddhism for a while, embracing principles from those religions as mine forever; also I enjoy visits with my two sets of grandchildren: one set lives in Ireland where my son is a surveyor; the other grandchildren's father is an Army helicopter pilot and they reside in Kansas. My oldest daughter lives closer to home in Oceanside--she's in real estate development. As to forever hobbies, I still love to read, enjoy the Internet, and never cease to take long hikes or walks anywhere.

School Story

Have lots of stories but the main one was running away after 11th grade with two other Hilltop High students and when we were ratted out by some Mexicans we had trusted to hide us, and brought back (we ran to Mexico & and our parents had posted a reward for us) I was sent to live with my school nurse Aunt in Monterey, CA and so did not graduate from Hilltop. I had a grrrrreat senior year at Monterey High where they had not known me since elementary school; actually dated the football team captain and made two new best girlfriends. It was such a rebirth and, not oddly, I can only remember those few best friends I made there, not hardly anyone else from Monterey, so because I only remember all the people I went to school with at Cook Elementary, Castle Park Jr. High and Hilltop High I would be lost at anything pertaining to alumni stuff in Monterey, so here I am, back at Hilltop for alumni stuff.

The following photos are of me visiting my son's home in Ireland (my first ex was born in Ireland...we met in Haight/Ashbury). My son married in England and lives on a dairy farm in Ireland once owned by an uncle (he owns it now).

Oh god, Mary Miguel, my friend from 6th grade who lived at the end of my block on Barret Ave. in the magnificent Country Club Estates, those shacks down below Cook Elementary, which was located at the end of the ever-so-elegant Princess homes with all their bric-a-brac.  How awful architecture was from the 1950's. Mary, who told me she was Hawaiian ancestrally.  Whatever.  We didn't see much of each other past 6th grade but she is an iconic memory of those years living in Country Club Estates since you couldn't miss her house as it sat square at the end of our dead-end street and she was often outside there when I went by to say "Hi" to. You are remembered.

I remember me, Sandy Gorman & Georgia Farrington going over to Jenny's home after school. They had decided to make some home brew in the garage.  While they were doing that I was inside having a beer with Jenny's brother (whose name I can't remember).  Jenny was so fun to be around.  Georgia & I told our folks we were spending the nite at her home when we took an overnite surfing trip up the coast.  She would of covered for us if our folks had called.  They didn't, but...  She was one of my favorite people at Hilltop.  She's gone; I always feel the best people are gone too soon.

Hey, Hi JoAnn, I remember studying MSG Math at your house--you lived down the street from us on Barret Ave., Chula Vista. Boy, did I never learn math back then. Had to retake it from beginning Algebra thru Advanced later. Susan Frise
