Be careful out there. One possilbe outcome of these parking space arguments.

A 27-year-old San Francisco man has been convicted of manslaughter for stabbing a man to death over a parking space on Geary Boulevard, authorities said Thursday.

Sarith Soun was charged in the Sept. 16, 2006, stabbing death of 19-year-old Boris Albinder of Pacifica, who was attacked outside a club at Geary and Third Avenue after he tried to park in a spot that a friend had attempted to save for him.

More nicknames and a cool shot!

Porky (née Parky), Pee Wee, The Big Cat (Mr. Ladd did not live in CV, but he had a gym on Third Ave), Wolfman (aka Wolfman Jack - lived in IB)

A U.S. Navy 34-foot Dauntless Sea Ark patrol boat assigned to Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron 3 exits San Diego Harbor

Still tyring to find photos of  the fence or net which I read was constructed across the harbor entrance (to keep non-local surfers out of the good breaks?)..

Probably not DC there in the break. I don't see Max.

January 29, 1959. Why? Why not?

Kids were lifting weights and Bill Foley from my neighborhood scored 21 in a squeaker over Escondido.

Could pick up a nicely-finned Buick for $2925.

Grainy, but free.

Check out how Jackie Wilson gets to his knees and better yet, how he gets back up. That's no ordinary hopscotch.

Anybody out there that can still make this move?

I just read the "news" from 1988 (fake news?) which was undoubtedly written by Kay Ochi. The most absurd caricature was the most insightful prediction. She always associated me with organ grinder monkeys, so its no surprise that I became a primate psychologist. How did she come so close to describing my future career? No wonder she was such a marvelous editor of the student newspaper. When my daughter Molly was named editor of the school paper at MacIntosh High School in Peachtree City, Georgia, it made me think of Kay Ochi and the important role she played in covering events at Hilltop High School. Molly's good work helped her gain admission to Georgia Tech where she majored in International Affairs, graduating with High Honors in 2002. She also met and later married a future mechanical engineer, and Scott and Molly now have three children while holding down full-time jobs in Charleston, SC. Molly works out of the home for a media company in the west, one of the wonderful advances made possible by high-technology. She is an amazing multi-tasker, caring for her kids while communicating with her distant colleagues and clients on a PC.

Well unfortunately, like some others,  Jackie Wilson did not make it to 1988.

Jack Leroy Wilson Jr. (aka Mr. Excitement) was born on June 9, 1934, in DetroitMichigan some 18 years after my father, likewise Detriot.

On September 29, 1975, Wilson was one of the featured acts in Dick Clark's Good Ol' Rock and Roll Revue, hosted by the Latin Casino in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. He was in the middle of singing "Lonely Teardrops" when he suffered a heart attack.

...

Medical personnel worked to stabilize his vital signs, but the lack of oxygen to his brain caused him to slip into a coma. He briefly recovered in early 1976, and was even able to take a few wobbly steps[37] but slipped back into a semi-comatose state.

Jackie Wilson died on January 21, 1984, at age 49 from complications of pneumonia. He was initially buried in an unmarked grave at Westlawn Cemetery near Detroit. In 1987, a fundraiser by a Detroit radio station collected enough money to purchase a headstone

My right hand drawing back while my left hand advances

Johnny Cash and Jackie were good friends, but he sent Elvis to the photo op. I was not aware that Anita was friends with Elvis though.

Well 'O-Kay' Ochi and of course Tim was on our Yankees (championship) Little League team (but skipped the team photo op) and Martha has to be Ricardo and Billly' sis, but I never dated her.

As far as the other folks go, I'm drawing a blank.

We used to ride our bikes over to Pepper Tree, where the road curves and slide down the hill on cardboard. We called it, right, The Sliding Place.

Never thoughto take the dog. Never had that much snow in CeeVee either come to think of it.

The Sliding Place. Still there. Seemed steeper back in the old days.

Three dogs ago we had a yellow lab and she was a great backpacking dog. We took her to the Sierras and one trip was early in the summer so in some areas snow remained. She loved the snow, and when off leash she would romp/frolic in the snow as happy as the dog in the video. She had her own backpack and carried her own food. In the tent she would sleep with her rear in our faces, and someone told us if you have a dog you have to love both ends.! Our current dog weighs 9 lbs. we probably would have to carry her. She walks with us every day on those tiny legs 4-5 miles but I don't think she'll be a backpacking dog. She might like snow though.

Our newest dog is Maisie Dobbs, a 1.5 year old yorkie poo, and these are her best friends Skip and Roger. Skip has moved to Virginia so he's a long distance friend now. She loves Roger and would rather spend time with him than any human she knows....including those in her pack.
