R.I.P. Steve.  We had some times together, back to Junior High & probably before.

Fond memories of junior high hi-jinx, lunchtime bandroom piano lessons, and many band trips. RIP Steve.

I'm so saddened by this news. Steve and I enjoyed Band together and had lots of laughs. I didn't get to see him much after school and now this! We take each other so much for granted. RIP, Steve.

Spoke with Kathy Smith this morning, she ask that Steve's obituary be posted on this site for his Hilltop friends to read.  Please note there is a San Diego Celebration of Life planned for April 9, 2017 from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.  Contact Kathy for the address location and additional details.  Hope to see some of our classmates there.

I am so sad to hear of Steve's passing.  We had many good times shared at band and Lancerette events.  He was always smiling and laughing and was such a kind, friendly guy.

Such fond memories...

I spoke to his brother, Webb who is a car collector friend of mine.  Steve fought a decade long battle against kidney cancer and finally passed away.   He was an amazing fighter and lived much longer than most because of his determination.  Rest in peace Steve.

I also have many good memories of Steve from my years in the Hilltop Band.  It is sad to hear of his passing but he will be remembered by so many.  Hopefully I can attend the Celebration of Life on the 9th.

Attended STEVE SMITH'S Celebration of Life, beautiful video rememberance of his life, accomplishments, family, vacation adventures, two boys and grandkids.  He was a remarkable man, husband, father, grandfather, brother and most of all a loyal friend for 62 years.  He did it 'His Way'.  R.I.P. Steve.
