There was lots of farming in Chula Vista and the Southbay. Bruce and Terry mentioned celery but there was also tomatoes, strawberries, lima beans, barley and other products.
I remember a small strawberry patch that I sometimes walked through when going to Hilltop JHS. It was a stawberry shortcut.
