Frederick (Fred) Longworth, Jr.

I didn't know Susan when I was in high school, however, in 2013 she came into my store in Normal Heights. We got talking, and discovered we were Hilltop 1964 classmates. We became friends. Though her career was primarily as a librarian, and in library administration, she attended law school and became (for a time) a member of the California Bar. When she died in 2015, I got a call from her sister. I was shocked and saddened. In a phrase: I miss her.

Hi Fred, Was glad to hear about some of Susan's life activities.  Had lost touch with Susan and her sister Nancy.  We had been friends in school and after graduation.  We both had lived on Gretchen Rd.  She was in the 700 block and I lived with my parents in th 600 block of Gretchen.  Then in 1966 my parents sold their house when we all moved to the Philippine Islands.  Dad was working for the Federal government and I attended the Univ. of the Philippines in Quezon City, near the capitol of the PI.  Then in 1968 I came home and gor married and moved to the East Coast and then to Baton Rouge, LA.  At any rate we lost touch.  Look forward to seeing everyone at the 70th birthday party of our class.

Susan lived across the street from me, shewas thhe first person I met when my father was transfered and we moved here.  She was open and friendly.  I didn't know she had passed - I wish I had known her in later years.  This is sad news.
